Optimism

All I am going to say, is NEVER buy a Dodge!!! So, my engine went out on my van this week. Right on the way to pick the kids up from school. Lost power, coasted into Holiday and have never been so grateful for a cell phone, ever. I was so glad that I didn't bring a coat and Karissa had no shoes on, so fun when trying to push a van up into the Holiday parking lot in 20 degree weather. I squeezed Kaela's coat on, and just wanted to start singing the "Fat guy in a little coat" song. Actually, my self esteem was boosted a little, I could put it on (just a little skin tight!). Thanks to Michael, my awesome bro-in-law, we were rescued in just a few minutes.

And the funniest part of all of this, trying to fit our family of 6 in our other car that only fits 5! On the bright side, it's not January anymore!!! And, if anyone has ever wanted to drive us around, now is your chance. I've got the next five days open!

Way to be such a good sport. Car problems are a pain. Too bad our cars only fit 5 people, but if you need a ride let us know or you could always take my Toyota. By the way, I was planning on going to salsa on Thursday, but I stopped at Costco beforehand and totally lost track of time (and my money:)

Diana, you are the best neighbor, please don't move. I might need to bum a ride to the Salsa class next week if you are game!

That is the pits! I'm so sorry and of course I can majorly sympathize in the car problem catagory since it seems to be my life. Bummer.

I'm totally chuckling at the "fat guy in a little coat" comment. Love that movie.

Yeah that you fit in Kaela's coat, who cares if it's tight? You fit didn't you?! Sweet.

Im sorry to hear about the car but it is such a funny story. That is so something that would happen to me! Only you are smarter than I am because I would have either forgot my cell phone or it would have been dead. I really wish I could help out with the car situation but we just don't have any extras! Ha! Ha! Take your pick. How about an 87 Jeep wrangler or a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has great gas mileage and runs GREAT! Seriously, you can even take Lance's Beamer! Let me know. There is one condition, you have to invite me to Salsa and Diana can drive us all.

That totally stinks! you can always call me for anything if you need help! I just spent the whole week kinda without a car because our other car does so bad in the snow that I had Chris take mine. Today I had to escape! :)

Hey Joey:

I am home all day, so I can help whenever you need. Just gimme a buzz. I have a pilot, so you should be able to fit your munchkins in safely!
I hope you have a better week!

You know that if you would have packed your own coat this wouldn't have happened (your car breaking down). It is whenever you are at your worst that they do. I am sorry but I can't help but laugh at the coat because these things always seem to happen to me. Other people are so much more together than I am. Wish I lived closer so I could help you out! I am sorry about your car, but at least you and kids are safe! Hope that this week is better.

Thanks everyone. Raegan, I'll take you up on the beamer, and Angie can you drive me to the mall on Wed? Just Kidding! You guys are the best, but not to worry we are taking advantage of Richard's parents and borrowing their car, so if anyone needs a ride in an awesome Ford Taurus let me know!!! =)

Amen on the dodge thing sistuh! I feel your pain. The Ford Taurus is awesome... I actually heard a comedian say "The Ford Taurus is a physical declaration that you have given up on your childhood aspirations" We owned one at the time so I laughed and thought that may be somewhat true. I have no money but I am totally still up for lunch.
Anytime.
talk to you soon.
