Go Hannah

Kaela and I had a fun mother-daughter date this weekend, Hannah Montana the concert movie! We went with Ang and Moira, which Kaela loved. It was so great to be together, and I honestly think I am way better at this Mom thing after age 8. We rocked out and laughed and Kaela screamed a little. I am still a little baffled on why this movie is twice as much as a regular one (can anyone help me here?), but none the less we had some great bonding time together. After we stopped at the Chevron/McDonalds for a treat. Who would have thought that Kaela would have chosen a donut over a kids meal? Oh well, I was just great to not have to eat at McDonalds and get a diet coke out of it. I can tell these next ten years are going to be fun...

Sounds like a very fun day! I love the older things to do with kids too. I bet Kaela will always remember it.

Can I just say how much she looks like your mom. In the top picture I think that is a look that I have seen from Pam. What a cute girl!

Rock on Kaela! I have always hoped that there would be life after Dora the Explorer and now I have complete assurance. Thank you for that. By the way, would you please let Kaela know that I am wearing my wedding ring today. I haven't done that in forever and apparently it caught Ellie off guard also. She just looked at my hand and said, "I like your ring mom."

How fun!
Maybe it's more expensive because it's a "concert"????
Time alone with a child is fab! I'm excited for those when Q gets older... although I'm sure by age 8 she'll already be avoiding me!

What a fun stage of life you are entering into! Even in the picture she is starting to look more like a young adult that a kid. What a cute girl!

Glad you could rock out at the concert - thanks for the idea - Adi loved it! I am thinking that the extra $7 was for those killer 3-D glasses! Maybe I'll wear them to scrapbook night! haha

Our lives are seriously similar! I took Blakely to HM this weekend too! I could not believe I paid that much for movie tickets but oh well...I guess we put more change into the Miley Cyrus trust fund! We need to get together and scrap or something.

Had to say thanks for planting the Hannah Montana Movie seed in my head. Tennisa and I ended up taking the girls on Friday after a little encouragement from you and Kacee. It really was fun and glad you had such a good time too. Next time we'll have to organize and all go together! =)
